Never disable right-click

Web developers are always concerned about people stealing their code/design/image(s). One solution that people have found to prevent this is to disable right-click.

I hate it. Everyone does.

So my message to you web devs (mostly amateurs, may I add) out there who use this technique is; don't bother.

What about the innocent viewers who just want to copy, or print? What about the innocent viewers who want to open a link in a new window? Eh?

...Exactly.. they're all viewers you've just lost.

Seriously, there's no point trying to stop people stealing your content anyway. People can just disable Javascript... or better still, the good old screenshot?

Google’s zip doodle/design

It's become a standard for Google to do a 'doodle' of some sort to represent an important (or maybe not) day or event.

This one though is just fantastic. The way you can zip the whole web page. Very clever... very clever indeed. Hat's off to Google ;)

If only I came across this earlier…

http://rememberthewar.com/

Fantastically done..

Just came across it now and felt the need to blog about it.

Pay the site a visit and you'll know what I mean...

Only critique I have is about the way they embed the videos. Perhaps could've been done without YouTube.

But hey, who am I to criticise?!

Facebook Timeline – load of rubbish if you ask me

What's with Facebook nowadays? They seem to be throwing out changes every couple of months. I'm still trying to get used to that stupid sidebar thing with the news feed (I think it's called that) and the chat box, and now we're being forced to have this 'timeline' for our profile.

Apologies if I'm getting the terminology wrong, but I'm struggling to keep up.

It's like Mozilla and Firefox. What version are we up to now, 8.. or even 9?

So yeah, we're being forced to have this timeline. (my source: http://mashable.com/2012/01/24/facebook-timeline-everyone-2/)

Facebook says you’ll receive a notification at the top of your home page when Timeline has landed in your account. That seven-day preview period is the same for users who activate Timeline and those whose accounts are activated automatically.

If you decide to wait, your timeline will go live automatically after seven days.

hmmm...
